About the Position

TransForce is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver for dedicated local and regional routes based in Omaha, Nebraska. This position offers competitive hourly pay, a consistent Monday-through-Friday schedule, and home daily. Drivers will transport freight throughout Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri using automatic day cabs with 53-foot dry van trailers. Freight is primarily no-touch.

Pay & Schedule

• $29.00 per hour
• Monday through Friday
• Home daily
• Flexible start times depending on assigned routes
• Must be available for either daytime or nighttime routes
• Shifts may exceed 8 hours

Job Details

• Route type: Dedicated local and regional deliveries
• Coverage area: Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri
• Equipment: 2019 Freightliner automatic day cab with 53-foot dry van
• Freight: Furniture, popcorn, and related products
• Handling: Primarily no-touch freight
• Loading: Drop-and-hook with occasional live loading and unloading
• Stops: Approximately 2 per route, with up to 4 routes per day

Shift Options

Day Shift

• Typically starts at 6:00 AM
• Dedicated routes between Omaha, Hamburg, IA, and Lincoln, NE
• Additional routes and adjusted start times as needed

Night Shift

• Typically starts at 10:00 PM
• Dedicated Omaha-to-Des Moines, IA round trips
• Potential for a second round trip on some days
• Additional local routes as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on assigned local and regional routes.
• Transport freight between distribution centers and customer locations.
• Complete drop-and-hook and occasional live-load/live-unload operations.
• Manage multiple routes and delivery stops as assigned.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation.
• Follow all applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and background screening
• Ability to operate automatic tractor-trailers with 53-foot dry vans
• Flexibility to work assigned day or night routes
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
